New WordPress Plugin Allows You To Post From Glass

It’s now easier than ever to publish blog posts on WordPress by using just Google Glass, your voice and a plugin. The open-source wpForGlass plugin can be easily installed on your blogged and it allows you to post your articles directly from Google Glass.

For the moment wpForGlass is in a beta stage and hasn’t been published on the WordPress repository, but it can be downloaded from GitHub, where everyone can collaborate and improve it further more. In its current stage you cannot dictate text, so you will have to rely on photo or video posts, but we expect it to come in a future iteration.

It doesn’t support voice commands yet, but it’s in the pipeline. That is something we hope to have up and running by the time Google Glass officially launches.

If you want to try the plugin for yourself, you can  and if you know your ways with PHP programming, then you can help improve it even more.

Thanks to Google’s Mirror API and GDK, a lot of useful apps can be developed for Glass, which will make our lives much easier. This plugin is currently using the Mirror API, which is pretty limited, but the GDK has been officially released, so we’re going to see more advanced apps for Google’s device.

If you’ve decided to give it a try, let us know what do you think about it. We expect a lot of people to install this plugin, as WordPress is by far the most popular blogging platform and it powers millions of blogs around the world. Hopefully the plugin will be officially released on the WordPress repository, as it allows you to install it directly from your blog’s administration panel.
